Howdy ST .. looked at your website .. nice. Liked the pics of the fish and the folks that caught them. Jr's Marina ... where is that? Is that the Jr's everyone always talks about on here?

Looks like folks that way caught some pretty nice crappie!!!

JR's Marina is located on Lake Weiss, Alabama. Lake Weiss is a great Striper, Bass and Crappie Lake and is one of the few lakes where Striper can reproduce naturally. A good friend of StriperTackle and Guide on the lake Mark Collins posted those pictures. Check him out under the Fishing Trips and Charters section of my site.

glad to have you as a sponsor. When I gear up for the stripers you will be the first place I go because of your support.

Thanks!

And yes, that's the JR that everyone on here mentions. I have to say, it's not the same at his place without him being in there. We made the trip over there last Sunday, and while it was business as usual, it just wasn't the same. No JR to kid around with, and ask about the "jig of the day". No JR to ask, "How are they catching them?", to which he would respond, "Left side of the mouth." No JR to just chat with.

It's honestly amazing the impact that he had in so many lives, and just how many folks loved him. I know I did. They still carry GrandPa's jigs, which I bought a couple of, and I got me a JR's Marina beer coozie.

Mark is a great guide, but my favorite will always be Santa Claus aka Joe Greene. If you have ever met him, you understand the nickname. He left this past Monday to go back to KY for the summer. Should be back in August/September.

Welcome aboard. emoWelcome
