11-12-06 Chickamauga Cats

Folks are still wanting to hammer away on the catfish, and I'm proud to help 'em. But it was ROUGH out there today (weather & fishing). I wore out the trolling motor battery fighting the wind. Eddie & Bill Young managed about a dozen decent cats. We started at Sequoyah... I was hoping to find WLG's and drc's fish. emoScratch We worked at it about 3 hours with nothing to show for it but two dinks. Pulled out and headed down to the Dam and managed to fill up a small cooler for the Youngs to take back to Birmingham. Had a couple just over ten pounds.

Some happy looking anglers there Richard dinks or no dinks.emoLaugh I was up at sequaoh today also trying out my brother in laws boat.( we had to put new gears in his lower unit this week). I caught a couple 15 to 20 lb DINKS!!emoSmile Thats funny that I call em dinks now considering about 3 months ago my largest was 17.5 lbs. I guess now I am on to bigger goals. My goal this year was a 50 lber and thanks to DRC I surpassed that by about 30 lbs or so.emoBigsmile emoBigsmile .So now I guess im looking for that 100lber,but a few more 50's along the way will be niceemoBigsmile . Anywho...it was rough out there today.Northeast wind and cats werent very hungry. we will get em next week maybe.

Too Tall and i have fished the plant for the past 4 Wednesday nights with really nothing to show for it.emoBang The weather has not cooperated with us, but I think our strategy and presentation has been off as well. We are going tommorrow pm and are going to try some new stuff (new for us). I've read that winter can be some of the best blue cat weather of the year, so we are hoping thats correct.
We've put in some cold, windy, rainy nights chasing the cats with no luck so it's time for a changeemoScratch I guess that's why it's called "fishing" and not "catching"! Glad to see you could find some fish for your clients rsimms! If we had clients, they would UPSET!
