AlvinC and I hit the Riverpark again today (which makes 3 days in a row). We were not planning on going but with the good weather and the bite on fire we had to go. SandSkeeter joined us and we showed him around a little. He also got to watch us catch a few.emoBigsmile

And catch a few we did. We boated 65 bass today with all of them spots except for about 7-8 smallies and 1 small lm. That's right 65 bass in the boat with at least another 15 we lost on the way. That is at least 80 bass on our hooks today!!!!! We boated about 3 fish around 2lbs each and lost another 4 about that size. I could not get a keeper yesterday and today we would have had at least 4 limits on spots. Unreal. Today is no doubt the best day of bass fishing I have ever had or seen. We also boated 5 yellow stripe, 3 big bluegill, and Alvin boated 3 cats (one of each species).

All fish were caught on tubes and jigging spoons within 20 feet of the bank. Fish were found anywhere from 1 foot to 18 feet. It seemed anywhere we droped a bait we caught fish. I have included a picture of the rigged tube and the jigging spoon so everyone can see what we were using.

Hopefully Sandskeeter will post his results. Last time we saw him he had caught 20 or more himself.

This had to be the best Thanksgiving vacation I have ever taken and probably the best 3 days of fishing I have ever seen.

Great report guys - congrats on an awesome day! emoThumbsup With numbers like that you should fish the Tx next Saturday... emoPoke

With my luck it would be like yesterday when we could not get our 5th keeper to save our life.

The jigging spoon in the picture is the same one the 4.1 lb smallie was caught on yesterday.

They could if they would stop sore mouthing the fish! Between them and Sandskeeter, there was nothing left on that bank for me and Diane.

Diane on the other hand was fishing minnows and doing a great job. I thnk after the 10 I cleaned, we may have managed 20 plus fish. Every fish she got that I wanted to keep, she would look at them and go

Nice job. We put in there today round 1pm i think. Caught alot of spots going down the bank with cranks and my buddy and cff'er speyninja was using his fly rod. We went up to the dam and started using jigging spoons bout indentical to the one you pictured there and had fun catching huge skipjack up to least couple pounds then spey caught a very nice smallie that weighed 4 pounds even. We got a pic but he is going to do the report and post the pic sometime tonight. Beautiful day to be out on the lake. Sorry we missed seeing anyone on the water over there today but i was trying to keep an eye out for anyone...We are going back in teh morning if anyone wants to get out..

Hey Andrew i need to tag along so i can learn the nick, what time are you all going?

We probably get there round 10am. We were just right below the damn. If you want to meet us over at riverpark or at lupton city/rivermont boat ramp be glad to meet up with ya. We will put in at the rivermont ramp since its just down the road from my house. That ramp is just down from the riverpark ramp on the other side. Not far at all. Just post if you want to go and i'll check it in the morning early..
