Dang 120 users online with 85 being guests. Did Firstlight advertise CFF someplace new today?

I remember when there were even less and I actually found it harder to stay away from the CFF then than I do now. The information exchange was greater and there was more content to the content. We have a lot of traffic now, but it's still 10% of the members making 90% of the posts.

I came shortly after 120 I think I was in the 200's I love this place but I miss the family feel it had back then.

I especially liked it before spence came along. I guess when it gets this big you can't look at every registration closely to make sure the riff raff doesn't get in

How many of the so-called members have actually logged on the past year? I understand the reason for not purging names, but when I joined there was only a handful of members posting then compared to the total number. Now there are many many members that used to post that no longer post at all. I don't know if they even log on now. It has lost its family feel. NA came along afterward and really doesn't know how it used to be. There is still a core of folks who are making the site a success and perhaps something will come along in the future that will bring back those who contributed so much in the past. I hope so. The recent Meet & Greet get together was very good and fostered a new relationship among the few who were able to attend. These kinds of meetings probably need to increase rather than just be a once or twice a year thing. Just my 0.02 worth. emoGeezer

I agree with you DK.... and no... I do not know what it was like. I was #2000. I'm just a mere newbie to the site. David Haun's presence has been missed a bit too. Not that he had a hook or anything he used, he wasn't schtick, he was genuine and was at the helm.
Anyone who has a beef though, should ultimately now take it directly to BBass. He is the one who needs to get all the mail on stuff David used ot handle.... emoBigsmile

This will piss some off. Been on here about a year. Have met some of the nicest people you could ever meet. Have had a ball fishing and bs'ing with them. The only negative comments lately is the family thing or somebody stole a secret or hole. A member recently told me he thought he would quit posting and I said that is how we met, We fish together a lot! Everything changes and I hope this place can adapt. I would not trade anything for the friends I have met here.

I don't know how many where here when I joined .. but pretty sure was less than 400 , I've been here about 3 yrs .. allot of people that where regulars are not so regular anymore. I've been many things since here but one of my fav's was official CFF fashion coordinator LOL .. my first CFF Tx on Guntersville I wore a tie dye t-shirt sweat pants and shorts over the sweats .. its my spring fall fishin wear .. cool in mornings warm in afternoon ya shed the shorts and the sweats .. put shorts back on .. of course ya wanna do that with no one around or you may end up with a pic of your self in your underwear on CFF LOL
I still feel right at home on CFF and I'm glad to have it .. I'm a member on other forums but this is still the best one around

<font size="2">I have been a member since march of this year, it has been one of the best things that has happened in a long time i have met some great guy's since being here, Ive learned a lot, about fishing, baits, andtechniques, I have gotten to share my boat projects, I have also bought things through this site on several occasions,We have found common ground with several members, I have laughed at some of the silly posts and jokes, well allI have to say is it sure beats the heck out of the alternative! I have nothing to compare to what it use to be like, but as for me I thinkit's just fine, its neighbors and friends coming together sharing a commonlove of fishing, Fun, and Friendship, my .02</font></p>
