killed this deer while he was making a scrap. seen a 6 point chasing a doe, then about 1 hr later this one walked out. tarsal glands were white but his neck was a little swelled up.

Nice buck! Congratulations. The bucks around me aren't really rutting yet. They're sticking around checking does but nothing really chasong yet. This cold week just might get them kick-started I hope.

Yea i think the rut is behind this year this week and next should get it going pretty good still see a bunch of does with fawns.I heard they was a guy in soddy that mounts deer pretty reasonable or any other taxidermist let me know thanks.

I went with Michael Shipman, shipmanstaxidermy.com. He does great work and a stand up guy on top of that. He's down in Cohutta GA, just south of Cleveland. He's a member here on the forum also.
