I bought this boat from a gentleman who posted in on this forum. I bought it as a project boat to fix up for a young man who now does not have the money to buy it. After working on it for 2 weeks, a couple of hours a day,it is now finished. As you can see by looking at old postings, I paid $1,250 for the boat, motor and trailer.
I bought a used foot control motor guide trolling motor for it, 2 seats and pedastals, put in sheet metal flooring and benches and covered with carpet, bought 2 batteries, bought a prop, serviced the motor, ect.. All of this was around $500-600. The boat has lights, bilge pump, 40 hp electric start with power trim, Eagle Cuda depth finder/GPS. It does not leak and the motor runs great. It runs about 30-35mph.
Anyhow, it is now for sale. I need to get $1,850 to cover what I have in the boat.

Forgot to add: the motor is a 1998 Johnson. Also included is an extra stainless steel prop that need to be "reworked", anchor, extra 6 gallon fuel tank, 2 life jackets, spare trailer tire.

I suggest you locate a lone tree away from any houses, invest another $40 or so to buy 50 ft of rope - Make sure it is at least 1 in thick. Then go find guy that made the promise of buying the boat. Walk him over to the tree. What ever you do from there would be ok by me! If you really need any hits on what to do..... PM me. hahahahahahahahaha

Seriously.... too bad you couldn't sue him for your loss and the fact he made a verbal agreement, possibly considered a binding contract in some states.

I don't mind. I actually enjoyed working on it and I'm sure it will sell.
I have a neighbor across the street who has just started fishing and seems very interested in the boat. He is trying to scrape together enough money to buy it.
If he can't get the money together, then I'll list on craigslist, etc..
