150 evinrude trim down problem

have a 1986 150 evinrude it wouldnt trim down talk to a mech. got tnat stright, but I took 3 of thr pressure valves out of the hydralics. The mech. I talk to said they had to be set a certain way does anyone no

Call Glenn Gamble at 622-5450. He's one of the most experienced OMC mechanics around.

All the valve are the same. They have "O" rings on them and can only go in untill they are tight. If you put them in any other way they will leak fluid. The only valve you have to worry about is the manual by-pass and still again it needs to be snug. Hope this helps!
