A buddy of mine killed this deer the weekend before Thanksgiving. He didnt want the meat, so I went to get it and took some pics with Catfinger to show how big this brute was. It is by-far the oldest deer I have ever laid hands on. It had the biggest head and neck I have seen in a southern deer. Almost all of it teeth were gone, so he estimated this deer at 6 1/2 yrs old. This is a true Georgia giant.....

Nice buck Spur. I wonder why that thing looks so much bigger than the 150-160 class bucks that have been posted on here before? emoScratch

Man Spur, that thing is a sure enough BEAST! I dont know what it is, but there have been some absolute monsters taken in GA this year. Looking at the GON Big Buck Contest makes me think we are in Kansas or something! Thanks for the pics!

Maybe their tape measure is in cm and not inches. emoSmile

A terrific deer-that rack gets scored as a 10 point because of the uneven side and then he got some deductions for the extra point. Who cares on the score, thats an absolutely awsome buck. Man what a year its been!

You are right Justin, I should have clarified, this was 153" of antler, not a net score. Whats amazing is that this deer was probably going down-hill because of its age. See how fast it looses mass in the main beams. Still a hog of a deer.emoWorthy </p>
