17 lbs. Bag w/ 7 lbs. kicker 3/14/07

[Big Fish]

Fished with a buddy yesterday after work. Put in on the hiwassee and ran down to the chick. and then up toward dayton. It took a while to find them and what they wanted. Finally started catching them and loaded the boat. Started out with a good fish pulling off. From there on things only got better caught two 3.5 lbs. and lost one about the same size. Ended up catching three or four keepers up there 1.5 - 2 lbs. Ran back to the Hiwassee and my buddy caught the fish of the day right at 7lbs. she was 24" long and 18" girth. took couple picks and turned her back. stayed out till dark and caught fish right up till the end. Most of the fish came on a chart. & white SP fished with a medium retreive 5-8 foot range. One of the 3.5's came on a trap and some came off a jig. I'm going to te Bar friday if the weather holds. Hey, Maddog see you don,t have to drive all the way to Alabama to catch fish

TT, the three biggest fish we caught were ready to go. one of the 3.5 lbs. had eggs coming out of her belly. the big one looked as if she would pop any minute. this cool snap were going to have might slow them down a little. But their getting ready.
