This motor just cameoff of a pontoon boat I have. Asking $650 the way it sits, for $850 I will putt a brand new tilit pump on it, as is it has no power tilt.

Prop is is super shape, motor is VERY clean. The cowling is in good shape other than the stickers peeling on the back side only. Located in South Cleveland.

has this motor been rebuilt? gas tank come with it?

Re: 1989 Mariner 40hp, GREAT shape, w/ all controls. $850 OBO

To my knowledge it has not been rebuilt, if it has there is sure no sign of it. A tank does not come with it, but I might have one laying around.

MooreEagle - 1/31/2011 10:29 AM It has trim, but doesn't work?

It actually only has tilt on these models, not tilt/trim as most would be familiar with. The tilt motor is not working, it came off a pontoon where it was not an issue, so when I get time I will change out the pump If I dont sell it prior to getting around to it.

I am pretty confident if I change the pump, and clean it up a little, it will bring $1k in the spring.

I have a neighbor looking for a 40hp for his pontoon....if you will send me your contact info i will get it to him. He will concerned about parts are they easy to find for this motor?

Thanks,
