I got a 99 Johnson 225 ho hp carb motor that the bottom of the vro housing cracked on ,not having the 450 bucks right now ,ive seen where several have put electric pumps on motors with pressure regulators, so I have went that route for now until I can spend the dough and go back vro, hopefully after Christmas .any way ive bought the pump ,regulator ,clamps, and a new filter.ive got it all plumbed in .got two questions here, one is what fuel pressure do I need to run,ive heard 4.5 psi to 6 ,just don't want to flood my engine or starve it of fuel and burn it up. second is wiring ive got it wired to a switched source but would like to run it somehow off the kill switch wire so when its pulled the pump quits .any help on this would be great. thanks

You need to talk to James Perry (Wrechin 2)he can tell you what ever you need to know. emoSmile

I had a `97 Venom and was told by dealer after the warranty ran out to can the VRO and MIX THE OIL. I did and slept better afterwards. VRO will break your heart and wallet. When my fuel pump finally went out after about 8-9 years I found one online made for non VRO for about 250$ I also switched to Amsoil Synthetic at that time....stopped the carbon buildup on the rings. Probably best move I ever made.

ive looked at those also, yeah I have no intention of going back vro, if the electric pump doesn't work out I will go that route, you are talking about the two old style pumps mounted together correct
