This year the CBA will be hosting the 1st annual CBA High School Championship on Saturday, April 25th at Chester Frost State Park. This is going to be a great event and I would like to invite all middle and high school teams in our area to participate in the tournament. We are working with local and national sponsors to make this a fun tournament for the kids that gives them the big tournament feel, that also acts as a fundraising event for each school that participates. Every coach will walk away with money to help offset the costs of a tournament season.

We will have a traveling cup that the winning school will retain until the event next season and will live in their on-campus trophy case. We are still working on finalizing the individual prizes but at this point we have over $5,500 pledged from sponsors.

The winning school will be based off the 3 heaviest team weights, and individual prizes will be given to the top three teams and 1st and 2nd big fish of the tournament.

1st Place overall Boat Prize: Each angler will be given a $1,000 College Scholarship thanks to Chuck Williamson of Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy.

1st Place School Prize: The entire fishing team will be granted Pro-Staff status with Reflexion Soft Plastics. You can check out their website at www.ReflexionSwimbaits.com

CBA Wildcard:

Each school coach will be given 2-3 CBA members based on random draw and at the coach's discretion he will pair the teams of his choice with the regular boat driver and the CBA member.
CBA guys this is where you come in. I need to hear from you guys on who is willing to participate in this event. I would like to get at least 30 members to donate one Saturday to take a couple of kids fishing. Each kid will be either a TBF/ FLW/ BASS member which means they each carry $1M of liability insurance. I know this will be a question a lot of you ask me, so I wanted to go ahead and put it out there.

Coaches, if you would like for your team to participate in this tournament please email me at [email protected] and I will send over to you a sign up sheet and tournament rules.

Specific Details:

Date: Saturday, April 25th, 2015
Hours: Safelight- 1PM
Location: Chester Frost State Park
Cost: $15 per angler (each angler will get a dry fit t-shirt and a prize bag)

Re: 1st Annual CBA High School Championship

Greg yes we know and that's the reason that there will only be a couple of CBA guys that accompany a boat driver and 2 anglers for each school. The coach of the team can then decide which boat driver would welcome the idea of having a CBA member on board.

Re: 1st Annual CBA High School Championship

The Northwest GA High School Anglers Assoc. will be fishing this event sorta as a TX within a TX. We expect to have 9-10 teams, close to 30 boats & we are very excited for the opportunity to enter our schools in a large format TX.

Thanks for all you guys are doing - we are looking forward to it!
