I put in at Mud Creek this morning around 9am CST, it was foggy and drizzly to say the least. Stopped about 20 yards out of the channel and found 51.5 degree water...wooohooo. So I grabbed the suspending jerk-bait and went to work, nothing...Trolled on down the line a bit and found a submerged log with about 1 foot sticking out. Caught two spots off the log with the susp. jerk-bait.
Moved over to an area that I haven't fished in years. Started out with the jerk-bait, but there was too much grass and it was too shallow really. So I swapped to the Rat-L-Trap and caught some fish. 2 fish came in less than 4 ft of water with water temps around 48. One was a slick and the other would be a nice fish to have 3 more like it and a kicker. I will up load some pictures later on this eve.
