2004 225 optimax

just replaced compressor on it 2 months ago.. yesterday was taking off and just about to on plane, as my rpms came up to around 3500..it sounded like it spun out... changed the hub on it today and same thing... motor sounds kinda funny but not real bad.. any suggestions...

time for a new one?

That's an unusual one. Does it shift into/out of gear normally? Since you've already changed hub kits, could you have lost a PVS plug or two causing the prop to blow out as you break over? If in doubt about your engine's health, don't hesitate to get it to a good OPTI tech. Could save you a powerhead. Let us know what you find out. Good luck!
