2005 merc 125

i have a merc 125 on a 17.5 procraft the power head has been sent to be bored out and all power has been disconected from the moter and the power trim and it has leeked down and the foot is only .5 inch from the ground how can i get it up so i can take the boat to the shop so they can put it all back togeather it is back and ready to be put back on the boat emoScratch thankes for the help i cant find any way to loosen the hydrolicks and i am not strong enough to just pick it up emoUSA emoThanks

Pro, I dont know about a Merc, but on the John-Rudes, there is a set-screw of sorts on the right side of the shaft. You take a large flat-head screwdriver and lossen it, then just lift the motor by hand, then tighten it back up. Hope that works for you. I know there will be experts that know the fancy terms of these things, but that is the best I have! emoLaugh

procraft, called a manual releae valve.loosen a couple of turns and raise motor or you can use the trim motor wires hooked directly to a battery,black to ground,blue to positive for up trim.
