I recently had new crank and bearings and rings replaced and had the oil injection removed. Im double oiling during break in. 1st question is will I burn more gas during break-in while double oiling because it seems like I am , and 2nd it idles a little low and wonder if there is an ajustment for it ? When I put in gear it drops to 500rpms and almost stalls out. emoScratch emoScratch , Thanks Leonard

The low idle is probably a result of the extra oil you are running. Oil injection is designed to lean the motor at lower RPM's and rich at higher RPM's when the engine requires more lubrication and higher engine temps. The motor should have an adjustment for the idle, It will be in one of two places. Either the shift lever next to the driver seat or on the engine where the throttle linkage connects. If you have an owners manual for the motor, then it should have info on adjusting the idle. If you don't have one then go to Yamaha's home page and and enter your motor information and download the manual, they usually have them in PDF format. Another thing you may want to check on is the O2 Sensor on that motor if it has one. I know the 175, 200, 225, and 250 had them but I'm not sure about the 150's.

It don't think it has an O2 sensor I believe those were for O66 and hpdi's mine has carb's and my oil injection has been diconnected after rebuild. I'm currently adding 2 qts. of oil for 12 gallons of gas for the first 10 hours I have around 5 hours on it now. Also I have a hot foot so there is no ajustment there. Thanks for the help, I'll look at my manual and go from there.
