I really hate to let this boat go as its in a league of its own but my desire to hang out with my kids is really surpassing m desire to fish. Most of you have seen this boat. Its an XB-21, dual console with 250XS, 26 pro et prop, tour edition 82 TM, with two 787c2 gps/fishfinders.it is white with royal blue stripes and carpet. It is truly a first class tournament platform. Best ride of any bass boat made and runs 85+ loaded with fat guys, gas and all else. I will try to get some pics up. These boats are $60k+ new. Asking $47,500.

How come every spring you seem to try and sell your boat? I think you just say this to tell your wife you tried. emoPoke Then if you do, you always seem to buy another. I have lived here six years and I think this is your sixth boat isn't it? emoScratch Jmax

Not looking at anything. Just trying to sell. I have already been offered a brand new Triton 21X2 with 250 Merc for it and turned it down.

...you aren't gonna stop fishing! I just started enjoying some of your crap, b / s commits! But, family does come first.

He has said that before and it doesn't last. emoAngel I think the wife and kids have about all they can take of him and send him to the lake. emoPoke (Ya know we love ya BS.) emoGrouphug Jmax

there isnt a thing wrong with staying with those kids, I have three boys and I travel alot and it gets tougher and tougher too go and this has been my life fishing and traveling and working for my sponsers. hats off, thet are only little once

I agree with Jmax. I would have traded for the 2008 Triton (matter of opinion/preference). Way more tournament incentives (In larger tournaments that is). Good luck with the family. Good decision. Family first.

This is a great boat with a lot of power, I have been in it - Trust me it knows how to catch big fish to.
Lance - I know its hard to turn this one loose. Family First..

Have you thought about selling raffle tickets for it? I know a guy that did that with his boat. If you sold 250 tickets at $200 bucks a piece, there's your 50k! He put his on ebay and it took a couple of months but someone won a boat for a pretty cheap ticket.

I would buy a ticket..........

beetlespin - 3/25/2009 11:37 AM So what happens if I don't sell enough tickets? Just give everybody's money back?

Put a deadline on the raffle and if you don't get your goal refund it back.

Between the Local Chatt TX scene and 2 or 3 of the larger fishing forums you should be able to sell 275+ tickets. The extra 25 tickets are needed to pay for the attorney to draw up a rules document. Or you might be able to work out a deal with the CBA or other local TX to donate or sponsor them with the extra proceeds above a specified $ figure. Just a thought.

Better be careful if you decide to do a raffle. There are some hoops that you have to jump through if Im not mistaken. YOu would have to set something up so that if your total money collection goes over the boat's value, then the proceeds would need to go to charity so that you aren't "making money" on the raffle. I dont have any personal experience with this, but I remember reading a bunch of info from when a lady raffled her house and then the IRS tagged her with a couple hundred thousand worth of back taxes....

it can definitely be done and I would definitely suggest you look into it, but you better make sure all your ducks are in a row before you make a decision to do it.

FWIW, I would definitely buy a ticket

there is a guy in Knox doing this right now for50 bucks a ticket seen it on Craiglist.. i wouldnt do it though b/c i never win anything LOL

i dont think you'd have any problem selling the tickets but you'll have to come up with some indisputable drawing method. I'd buy a ticket but not if I thought your 'buddy' was going to have a better shot at winning it than I do. Could have a local bait shop do the drawing. Also cap the number of tickets. I'd definitely pay 200 bucks for a shot at a boat like that. 1:250 for a 200:46000 seems good! let us know
