That's a really good SM for chick. Kinda funny cause you have to assume it was caught around the grass.

I can't tell you how many small mouth I've caught around shallow grass this year. Not many keepers, but I've caught a few nice brown fish where I'd only expect to catch largemouth. Only a few nave made it to the scales.

Smallies hang around grass up north, why wouldn't they do it down here? Congrats to all! What a heck of a smallmouth!

I am not sure if there was grass around the big smallie, but I understand there was a lot of concrete and it ate a brush hog.
