Ok guys so here's the deal. BRAND NEW Tracker 195 Tournament Edition, Mercury Pro XS 150. When I trim up (from motor saver height) on the trailer, the motor only moves an inch or so, it wont even come up high enough to set the tilt safety latch on the side... the height where the motor stops leaves about 2 - 2.5 inches of space between the hydraulic steering components and the transom. While I understand / was told by the dealer that this was to prevent damage to the hydraulic steering, it has become rather aggravating when I have to force in/out the motor saver every time and use EXTREME caution when backing into my driveway.... Anyway onto the root of my question... based on my research it looks like there is a "trim limit switch" that may have been installed on the motor by either Tracker or the dealer (part no. 8M0059532 possibly)… so, all you Mercury experts, is there a way to adjust this switch to give me just a LITTLE more travel to actually get into the tilt range of the motor? or is it as simple as unplugging the sensor?? im really hoping this is something yall have ran into and is simple to fix because I REALLY don't wanna go thru the dealer since they have been rather rude and unhelpful since I bought this boat...
