The 2020 CATCH Guys & Dolls tournament will be launching from the Grasshopper Creek ramp on Lake Chickamauga on Saturday evening May 16th at 5pm. This is an open tournament. This is not part of our tournament trail. We use our tournament trail rules, but we don’t go overboard on making sure everything is 100% strictly by the book. We realize that this event is more about fun and fellowship and friendly competition than it is winning at all cost. This event is hosted as a ministry event and therefore there is no corporate sponsor. Caleb Luzader of Hiwassee Firearms in Calhoun is furnishing our pre-tournament meal.

This is our first evening Guys and Dolls tournament - the dolls wanted to do something different so they could sleep in on Saturday LOL!! We are providing a pre-tournament meal with either steak or chicken as the main course - no hot dogs or burgers this year. You must pre-register or make a solid reservation in order to be guaranteed a meal. We will social distance at the Grasshopper pavilion. The first meal will be ready around 3pm. We will eat, give away door prizes and have our devotion at the pavilion. You can launch your boat before or after the pavilion activities. If you only want to fish that is fine. Be sure you're ready to blastoff at 5pm

We will have pre-registration at Fishtales in Cleveland on Friday night, 5/16. The address is 5008 Georgetown Road NW. It will begin at 5:00PM and it will end at 6:15PM - give or take a few minutes either way. We will start when we get set up so there is no wait in line.

If you cannot attend, you can send someone in your place.

You can sign up at the ramp Saturday afternoon until 4:30pm.

Legal boat has one male and one female – one must be 18 years old - no solo anglers for this one.

If your guy or doll can't back your boat we'll be more than happy to help.

Blast-off at 5:00pm
Weigh-in at 11:00pm
$35 per boat - which includes big fish
No additional fees
100% payback paying 1 place per 5 boats

If you are planning to fish and want to eat with us beforehand, I need a solid commitment by May 13 so we can secure "real" food. We are not cooking extras.

The door prizes and devotion will be between the meal and the start of the tournament. You don't have to eat with us, but if you want in on the door prizes you must be a paid entrant in order to get tickets for the drawing. We will have a Joe Burns custom rod, Aubrey's Restaurant certificates and a variety of items from AutoZone (the one by Staples in Cleveland).

One of the guys has the weigh in cards. I'll give what I remember. I don't have the names.

20 boats competed.
I know the winning weight was between 9-10lbs.
Big fish was about 5 1/2lbs.
Only the winners had a 3-fish limit.
I think 5 couples weighed in 2 fish.
A couple had 1 fish.
