2007 Pro XS that runs great, but at an ideal run great until you put it in gear, once in gear it splits and spuders until it get to 1000 to 1200 RPM, then it clears right up and don't miss a beat again. Has anyone had this problem?

best source I`ve found for all things Pro XS

the moderator is Europeanmarine`s Don and is extremely helpful and Knowledgable. Ask the question and he`ll get to you usually soon. You can probably find your answer just looking at the posts . One thing he likes to say is the XS is thorobred and needs to have it`s head real regular. My `09 225xs will sometime burble a little if I spend to much time watching the Sidescan while Idling.

Assuming your plugs are in good shape and gapped correctly, and you're regularly running a decarb product and ethanol treatment, try running 89 octane gas for a while. The 89 helps idle quality on a lot of them, including mine. And as Bro' Snuffy related above, BBC is a great resource. Have a good one, guys!!

Give the fuel bulb a few pumps and see if the problem goes away. My 250 Pro XS will do that from time to time. A couple of squeezes on the bulb cures the problem. Hope this helps.

May also be time to change your fuel filter. Also, if you haven't changed your fuel line and bulb to the ethanol resistant material, you probably need to strongly consider doing so. Had the lines on my 2007 rig changed last fall. Tim at Bunch said the original lines were already showing signs of break down. The fuel filter had caught some small pieces of the liner. Would have caused problems very soon.
