rocker sw has
1-run
2-off
3-charge

problem this switch is wired for 12/24 volt also, ran trolling motor on high for about 70 yards kicked one of the battery breakor, then smoke came from rockers sw, no trolling motor not good when you are on the lake, anywho pulled sw apart ,the heat melted the plastic stim and bent the contacts in the rocker sw. bent contacts back mashed sw together turned trolling motor to medium speed worked good, my question is why overheat when trolling motor is on high, looking for solution to problem, oh by the way it's a motorguide ditigal 70lbs 24volts emoScratch emoQuestion

May have drawn more amps than the switch was intended for or had a bad connection causing reisistance and a overheat. You can remove that switch especially if you have a 3 bank charger. In the "charge" position it made it where the batteries were wired in parrel and could both be charged using one charger on one battery. When you switch it to "run" it would wire them in series giving you 24V. Hope this helps!

yea that is what i think also, my do away with sw all together and just straight wire it 24volts to the plug, that way i wouldn't even need the switch,
