We started off on Friday night with a great evening of food and fellowship. We believe weather ran off part of our folks, but that didn't "dampen" our spirits. By nights end, four men nailed down their salvation through Jesus Christ and two others made other decisions concerning their relationship with Christ as well. We had 63 entrees that were ready to "brave the storm".

Our 7:45am launch went smoothly and without rain. There were periods of no rain and periods of absolute downpours, hail included. We had roughly 30 boats bring fish to the scales. I haven't seen so many 4-6 pounders in all my life. That 9.46 lbs LM was a MONSTER. The 7.72 lbs wasn't bad either.

The top ten weights are below.

27.87 lbs Galen James & Paul Morgan $5,000 9.46 LM emoToast emoToast emoWorthy emoWorthy
25.30 lbs Gary Crowe & John Harden $1,500 5.56 SM & 5.38 SM
22.78 lbs Chris Coleman & Chris Grizzle $1,000
20.76 lbs Mitchell Moore & Steve Norris $500
20.10 lbs Heath Pack & Trevor Prince $400
19.39 lbs Hensley Powell & Scot Rodgers $300
19.19 lbs James Burkhart & Justin Medley $200 and $620 for 2nd biggest of the day 7.72 LM
18.88 lbs Brandon Casson & Jerry Webb $150
18.62 lbs Jody Moore & Victor Rowe $150
18.20 lbs Bruce Wofford & Josh Wofford $150

Thanks for an AWESOME weekend. Everyone made this event a success - from the volunteers on Friday and Saturday to the men who went after the big one on Saturday.

Lord Bless,
Kevin

Yes... All 3 Big fish were paid. We totaled giving almost $25,000.00. There were more than just 1 of those big fish but the largest of each prevailed. We will get that updated with the weights and pix soon.

They wrote 14 checks! 3 teams went home with over $5K, and one team went home with $10K! Those are better odds than the scratch-off lotto tickets! The weather ran some folks off, but I dont know why anyone who bass fishes didn't jump on this one!

Thanks for organizing such a great tournament with such a good payout! Looking forward to next year!

The winners of the $5000.00 pots were as followes:

Galen James 9.46 Largemouth

John Harden 5.56 Smallmouth

Trvor Prince 5.50 Spot

We don't pay the special weight fish. The $5,000 fish payouts have to be submitted to the promotion company for payoff. These companies are not insurance companies, but rather promotional companies that do things like holes-in-one or even the games like at McDonald's where you try to complete a Monopoly board or something.

Hey CATCHMAN,

Just wanted to say that you guys run a great tournament! It was great fun and miserable at the same time due to the storms but still worth it. Hope you will do it again next year!

I don't know what we can do to top the $25,000 payout, but we have a year to figure it out. Looking forward to the challenge of next year's 3rd Annual CATCH Challenge.

If anyone would like to be a part of what we are doing, please pm me or email me at [email protected].
