Got out on Pickwick today around 11:30 and stayed until about 5:30. Started off kind of slow-picked up 2 small largemouths on a bandit crankbait right up next to a bluff wall. Piddle around some more and caught a 13" SPAT on a smallie beaver in one of new found honey holes (except it normally holds largemouth). Finally around 1 or so I decided to move on down river a little bit to some more bluff walls. Started downwind of the particular cut I wanted to fish and another boat comes in, so I hightail to the cut and right as I reached I caught a 3.6 lb largemouth on the crankbait again. Continue on down this bank with the crankbait and hook into about a 8-10 pound drum. Things slowed down, so about 3:30-4 pm I run across the river and begin fishing some docks that I have fished before and caught a couple of small fish on. Start out with the crankbait and as I'm almost to the end of the dock and felt a mushy feeling and set the hook on what would turn out to be a 5.5 largemouth. I decide to put it in the well and continue to fish, next cast on this same spot yields about a 12" largemouth, kind of got blown off of this spot, so I trolled back up(Thank goodness for NEW batteries!!!) and caught a 3.2 lb largemouth from the same spot. Continue down these docks to give the hot spot a rest, come back in 10-15 minutes with a jig and pull a 2.7 lb largemouth off of the same spot. I fished this spot for another hour or so with no more bites, so I found some people that were done cruising on their pontoon boat to snap the pictures, so they aren't great closeups, but proof none the less. So I had a 5.5, 3.6, 3.2, 2.7 largemouth and a 1 lb spot for around 16 pounds, by far the best sack I've caught in my life. The pics are of the 5.5 lber and the 3.2 lber. Sorry I got long winded, still on cloud 9!!! Enjoy carl
