Catfishing has been kinda slow for me lately and I'am relieved that it's starting to pick up some....We had on Ok day yesterday(3/16), we started out below gville dam and had very little action.....it seems there is just not a lot of cats up river right now, we then switched to Gville lake and ran in to some action catching a 22,20,16,8,and 6 lbers and had one nice one come off.......I really thought today (3/17) would be slow with the cold front and all......we went and fished on lower Wheeler...on our first stop within 10 min's of getting bait in the water we had our first run, about 1 min into the battle pole number two went off I picked up the rod and handed it off to Diane, I then proceeded to net Jay's fish which turned out to be a 47 lber.....quickly I dumped the fish out in the bottom of the boat and netted Diane's 42 lber, before we could get any pics rod number three went off turned out to be a short 22 lber, we quickly snapped one pic of the little one and released it, before we could take the other pics rod number 4 went off after a pretty good fight I netted a nice 35 lb Blue for Jay.....we then proceeded to take pics for awhile and fished for about another hour without a nibble....I moved two more times and on my 4th hole of the day we had been sitting there about 20 min and a rod bent and the clicker went slowly and steadily to clicking ( I Love that Noise), about two mins into the fight rod #2 went to screaming I picked the rod up and gave it some heavy pressure to get it out of the structure we were fishing around, and handed the rod off to Diane after a short fight while Jay was still fighting his fish I netted a nice but easily landed 56 Lber....I dumped the fish into the bottom of the boat and after another two min's or so I netted Jay's hard fighting 70 Lb Bluecat......we tried one more spot and decided to call it a day after 5 hrs......they took a bunch of pics but I only got a few with my camera.

Great looking cats for sure, someone is goin to have to post a picture of a Skipjack for me. I am thinking, it may be them big shad that look like little tarpon I sometimes catch from the bank, while crappie fishing ???
