AlvinC and I hit the Riverpark today bright and early (7:30AM) and we fished until 7:30 PM with only a 1 hour break for lunch. Needless to say I will be hitting the bed early tonight.

The fish were very slow the first part of the day. In the first 3 hours we boated 6 bass with the largest being a 2.5lb LM that Alvin caught and I got a couple of drum to boot (and no I was not trying to catch them this time). At 10:30 we picked up our corworker Ashley and decided to try to put her on some cats. Nothing doing. We floated skipjack for what seemed like forever and marked fish but could not get any takers. So we decided to let her jig a spoon to catch some smaller fish. Next thing I know her rod is under the boat with the drag singing. After a fierce battle a 10lb blue comes to the surface. Unreal.

We droped Ashely off downtown and got some Burger King for lunch and took our 1 hour break. At this time we have boated 12 bass total. After lunch we boat another 16 with some nice 2lb spots. The fish really turned on from about 3 until 5. After that they completely shut off. During this time I also got 2 channel cats on tubes. Man those things can put up a fight.

All fish but 2 were caught on pig n jib and tubes. The 2 largest LM came on white crank. Water temp was 58-59.

Perfect day on the water. Going back tomorrow.

Numbers:
28 bass total (3 LM, 25 spots)
2 channel cats
2 warmouth
1 blue cat
2 drum
