We put in at Tyner Ln. around 5:30 or so. We decided to let the crappie rest and tried to locate some bass. We went to a shallow stumpy bay and just let the wind blow us down the bank. We caught a few on TW and some on plastics but missed a bunch of good bites. I am sure that many of the fish we missed were begining the bedding process as they were just moving the baits and not really chomping down, and slapping at the TW. We did see an 8+lber that we spooked off of a bed and several other good sized bass cruising the shallows. At dusk we moved to a steeper bank and caught a few more fish in deeper water (5-8ft.) after sunset I set the hook on a goodun (3.5-4lbs), As I was trying to lip her she slung my bait and off she went. Shortly thereafter we trailered the boat and headed home. I think we boated 5-6 bass, three being keepers and I know we missed twice that many, but that may be a good thing since FV and RR are fishing the Tx together saturday.
