I'll bet that was a thrill, BOTW. Welcome to the forum and great catch. One of these days you will probably have one of those 10-15 pound drum/carp accidents on 4 lb test line. Hope your drag is set loosely. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Tons-O-fun right there. Welcome to the forum BOW. It takes some skill to catch a fish like that on 4 pound line, especially from the bank.

Anybody can catchem on weedeater cordemoSmile

Wolftever, just 1/4 mile up creek from the ramp on the left. Caught 1/2 dozen crappie and a couple of 12" shad same day.

Hey, TT...look for me...5-10, 170 lbs, baseball cap & short pony-tail (mostly gray by now, I AM getting oldemoGeezer ), red Rapala gear bag and several rods all the time...I only take the boat out 2-3 days a week, and I'm on the bank of the creek or Dallas Bay another 2-3 days a week...maybe we can hook up...

I should have my boat back for the weekend!emoUpsmile

Probably more like 3.5 or a little better, but since I could not get the hook on the little scales that I had with me on the dang thing's lip (scale hook was too small!) I had to guess, and I'd rather have someone say "it looked bigger" than "it wasn't that big" so I called it 3.

Using 4 lb Stren mono on an ultra-light rig with a crappie hook!emoWorthy

Hey BOTW .. I'll be heading over to WT Thursday after work to try out that fishing hole. I haven't been there yet this year!!! But seeing that fish means its high time to get over that a-way. :)

Hope you left one or two of them for me to catch!!!
