I am looking for a 360 light to go out at night. Does anyone have suggestions? I don't want to spend a ton of money on it, but I want a decent one and I am clueless lol

Without a motor you don't legally have to have lights, just one to signal which any flashlight would count for

Yeah legally, but I want to be seen from as far away as possible. I plan on having a flashlight to signal as well. I think I've pretty much decided on this one. http://www.yakattack.us/CPM_MMH_p/cpm-mmh.htm

I am fairly new to the water so I would rather err on being overly safe than to be run over, or cause another boater to be surprised :)

I don't think I would want to be out there in the dark without a motor that I can get out of somebody's way in a hurry. Just because I have a boat with a motor, why do I need to keep my lights on all the time. Either both or if anchored, just one. Sound's unsafe to me. Doesn't make any sense at all.

What doesn't make sense man? Why you have to have your lights on all the time at night, or why I am someone fishing in a kayak way back in a slough who wants to be seen as much as possible? fF you don't know the answer to those questions I don't know what to tell you.

Please don't kill me with your boat because keeping your lights on, and looking for other lights is an inconvenience if that's what you meant. That doesn't make any sense at all.

What doesn't make sense to me is why would anyone not want to be out there at dark without lights on. That's what I was saying. I always run lights fishing, anchored or just sitting there. I even got scolded by game warden last year for running down river with spot light on. I had also left my black lights on in my rubrail. He told me it was illegal to run with black lights on and could not keep spot light on. To me, being out there in dark, I think the more lights the better but I guess that's not how the law sees it. Being out there with nothing but a flashlight is just alittle to crazy to me. If the rule states all you need is a flashlight if you don't have a motor, it's alittle weird. That's all I meant by saying it doesn't make sense.

Got ya. Thanks for clarifying my misunderstanding. I like night fishing and all I got is a kayak, which I'm ok with. But it can be damn scary out there paddling around day or night with some of the boaters out there. Glad you guys are the good ones.

Someone about hit me in a John boat as I was coming into Harrison bay last weekends. He was running from one side of the mouth of the entrance to the other. And he didn't let out. I didn't see him till I was oh most on him. Light wasn't bright at all
