tndoe270 and I fished for Crappie this afternoon. We started off fishing Chester Frost and I picked up a few Crappie there but it sure hasn't been anything like last year for us in the Park emoScratch We started off fishing a few Brush Piles we have had great success in the past and I emoEvil picked up a few Keepers on the brush emoSmile We tried the stumps and I emoEvil caught a few there too. We decided to venture over to hideout slough (once we found it ) we fished a little brush and some lay downs and I emoEvil caught a few there also but nothing major. Did I mention all these fish I emoEvil was catching were on the "mini corn dogs" or better known as "pig in the blankets" emoSmile . TNDOE was not having a good day emoAngry It's hard to set the hook with a CB in one hand and two poles in the other hand!! Her Step Mother even called while we were fishing and I just happened to hear her ask tndoe, " You need to be holding JSV's pole" emoLaugh I couldn't help but laugh...she truly meant it in a good way but it sure did sound funny!!! My wife sure might start question me fishing with ol' tndoe ..if many of those comments were made! However.....we went and fished one last hole...where I had been catching a few from the bank. Soon as we pulled up ,I emoEvil caught two and in fact, I actually had two on at one time (doubled up)emoThumbsup . It slowed down quickly but tndoe did manage a few fish today and a couple in this area and it wasn't with my pole emoBigsmile I also caught a Flat head Cat in this area (at least I think that is what this form of Cat is called)? All in all we had a good day and tndoe's day wasn't as bad as I have really suggested ...of course the CB may have played a role in her success. However one of us had a little better than the other but we lost NO Fishing Poles and no one fished with mine either. We just haven't had the Crappie year we had last year. Out of the fish I cleaned 4 were females and still had their eggs...but it appeared they would not of had them much longer.
