Well tonight was another Accellent dogfight on Nick. We put in at Sullivans and fished from 4-8. We had 4 boats and 8 fisherman so not a bad turnout for a little work tourny. Sandskeeter, AlvinC and mkilgo fished so CFF had half the field. Alvin and I fished together as usual. We went up river to get our 5 spots which will be our plan for all of our dogfights. We just feel the spots will over time win out on the largemouths due to us almost always being able to get 5 keeper spots. We hit our first for sure hole and got a goose egg. Our second for sure hole was the ticket. Alvin taged a nice 2lb spot and followed it up with another keeper spot on a lizard. Our next keeper was a 4lb 10oz largemouth caught by yours truely on a small spinnerbait. The fish would have been 6 or better has she not been spawned out. After that we managed a few more keeper spots on pig n jig and spinnerbait. We only boated 12 bass today and lost 2. A far cry from yesterday's 63. We ended up winning wth just under 11lbs. Jimmy and Rodney came in second with 5 spots at around 7.5lbs. mkilgo had one keeper largemouth and I never saw sandskeeter pull a fish out. Better go upriver next time skeeter.emoPoke

Oh yeah. I lost my personal best drum tonight. Probably in the 20lb range and I lost it while I was trying to get the grippers in its mouth. Took my lucky spinner bait with it. emoDoh
