#4 buck shot

do any of u coyote hunters use # 4 buck for coyote how well do you like it what kind of range does it have it will be used with a rem 870 wingmaster 30" barrel full chock or a mossberg 835 28" full chock thanks

I've shot one dead with a 7 1/2 dove load (although at 20yds). I bet they'll hate some #4 buck out to 50-60yds as long as it'll pattern for you. Shoot 'em all!

most of the time i use a 17 hmr and they dead out to about 200 250 or so but have had a few get real close real fast so a shot gun will work best just wondered how the 4 buck would work and how far it will shoot out of my 870

I have killed them with #4 Turkey loads. 3.5 inch magnums. Up to 35 yards, but knowing my pattern doesn't open much at that point. They appear to like to stalk turkey noises. Then, surprise....BANG. HE'S DEAD, SHE'S DEAD.
