I've got a 1999 300 cc Honda that it seems we have outgrown (both have eaten too many cheeseburgers). Thinking about getting another one sometime. Would like to haul about 400 lbs of us and maybe 100-150 lbs of stuff... Definitely want 4 wheel drive. Slow go and not much for big mud hole riding. Any suggestions??? Want reliability. Thanks for the help.....Jim

Honda all the way. Rancher rind on foreman etc. guess you know that since you already have one

IF your looking at new ones I have a brand new never ridden Polaris 500ho 4x4 automatic for sale. I can save you some money if your interested. It cost $6,937.93==You can buy it for $5,500.00 cash

Only thing about Polaris is the belt can slip when under an extreme heavy load or once wet or muddy. We've always owned Honda utility atv's and never had a single prob.

your probably not gonna find one out today as dependable as that old 300 honda that you have now, man thats the best made. but i would definately stick with honda. ive had every brand made and honda by far is at the top. as long as you stick with 450 and above you should be fine

My only experience with owning ATV's is a 2001 Polaris 500 and a 2005 Ranger 700. Both were the best riding, most dependable machines I could have asked for. I didn't have to put a dime into either for repairs. And to those that have said the belt is an issue, I never had it happen to me, and I use to ride in some really wet places, had the 500 up over the seat in Savannah GA multiple times.

Guys, you may not have a dealer locally but if you want a great machine in either side by side or standard 4 wheeler; just look @ what Bombardier has to offer. They make great machines.

cant beat an artic cat. especially since they got the power steering now. its one of the most stable atv out there and its got a very strong motor. i have had mine since 2007 and have put it thru a lot and the most i have had to do to it is put axle on it. its got the independent 4 link suspension that gives it more clearance as well. dont get one without power steering tho cause it is really stiff and hard to turn.

Thank you all for the responses and keep them coming.... Just starting to look again at them. A lot has changed out there since I bought mine. Thanks again....Jim

I have that same Honda. It's been a great machine. I never was a fan of Polaris, BUT, my buddy from Wy has one, and he is dailey, PLOWING SNOW with his. I think the (wet belt-slipping) is not longer a problem. Just mho.

They do make the racks for this atv so it will haul a load I'm sure since it is a 4x4. Actually you can switch it to 2x4 or 4x4 with the flip of a switch.

I'm not knocking any brand, but I have 2 hondas. foreman 450 and a foreman 500. I try to ride every weekend. been great four wheelers. I have a friend with a Honda 400. Just rolled 13,000 miles and still kickin
