I've been reading through the reports from the first CFF tournament up in Fishing Reports. I don't bass fish much anymore but I still REALLY appreciate the fact that y'all do that. It's really good reading.
But I noticed one thing that really struck me. I saw multiple references to folks just casually mentioning "a five pounder."
I know lots of you are relative youngsters and have only really known the recent Chickamauga Lake "glory days." Back in the 1980's when I DID bass fish all the time, if we had been writing that in a fishing report we would have written, "I caught A FIVE POUNDER!!!!!!!! emoDance There's a good chance we would have gotten our picture in the newspaper and folks would have marveled at our luck & skill. emoApplause
What a difference 30 years can make. Relish these days. I hope it will always remain the same but there could come a time when you'll be rocking on the front porch reminiscing about "the good old days of 2019."
