50 H.P. Plus motor

How much would a good used 50 H.P. motor up to say a 75 horse cost? It would be going on a 17.5 fiberglass bass boat. I may be able to purchase a boat but may need a motor. Is there any boat repair shops around Chattanooga that I can check with?

i would think between 1500 and 3 grand depending on condition.. keep an eye on craigslist

There is a 50HP on here right now. It depends on how "NEW" you want it. There are a lot of Inline mercs for pretty cheap. Sometimes you have to buy a rotten boat to get a new engine. Just my opinion....
