7-30-2006 Kitty, Kitty, Kitty

Went catfishing out of the Riverpark this morning with my co-worker Alvin. We started the day by hitting one of our new spots. It is "structure" surrounded by 20-25 feet of water with the surrounding river depth of around 17 feet. Right off I caught a 15lb blue and another 4-5 lb blue. I then stuck two more that came unbottoned. Puzzled I checked my hook to find out it was so dull I could have fallen on it and not got hooked (always check your hooks for sharpness). We then ran down river to fish the old river channel in about 30-35 feet of water. No fish but I did have one beat the water with my rod holder rod. I was trying to get Alvin's depthfinder to work and was not paying attention emoDoh. We then decided to go back to the spot where we started. I caught a Coosa bass (on cut bait emoScratch ), a small 2-3 lb blue and another 15 lber (they were not the same fish as the second one weighted a little more). Alvin did not stick a fish all day.emoScratch

It was a great day to be on the water and I boated 4 and lost 5. I am looking forward to next week and the chance to meet all the outer cat fishermen on the forum in the CatBattle.

Something happened to my camera today. It whited out the backgrounds of my pictures. emoPoke

Son of a gun! My camera does that sometimes too. It's a shame to lose all that detail!!

Never thought about it. We fish together about 90% of the time and he is a great friend. I wish he would hurry up and register on the forum so I could use his user name and I could avoid using the word "co-worker".emoPoke

Maybe. I would think someone will catch a 30+ fish with that many boats going out. I just hope to catch something worthy of a picture. Maybe the stars will align and I will get my first 40+ fish.

Thanks for the offer but I am going to use Dhaun's camera from now on. I heard it added like 20 lbs to everything you take a picture of.emoPoke
