Went fishing from the Riverpark this morning with a co-worker (Alvin). Decided to bass fish as I have not been able to catch a cat in a week. We went down past Moccasin Bend. The bite was on for the first hour and then the unexpected happened, they cut the river off. About 1.5 hours later the river came back on but it was too late. We manage to boat 4 each with the largest being 3.2 lbs (see pic). Alvin lost a good fish on topwater (at least 3-4 lbs). Fish were caught on torpedos, spooks, and lizards and for the most part were within 10 feet of the bank on a steep bank with the boat sitting in 20-25 feet.
On the ride back we were waved in by a guy with his rod bent double. He had a 15 lb flathead that he had caught trolling. We stopped and took his picture for him. Nice fish.
On a side note I got in my truck to find a note on my windshield. Someone had backed into my trailer light and broke it. The note was not from the offender but from someone who say the incident. The damage was minimal but the person who did the damage could have fessed up. Some people are just chicken sh*t I guess.
