had a problem this weekend my 75 mariner was smokeing bad and at take off it was just bogging down
but afeter it warmed up it took off. i mixed the gas one pint to 6 gallons of non ethanol gas. the day before
it ran fine no problems just the fuel cap was kinda hard to get on..

Nope she took off. After i fished my spot for about 4 hours it did it again but not as bad.and less smoke..i might have mixed
it with too much oil. Im going to try 7 gallons to a pint

It should be 50:1 ratio and thats what 1 pint to 6 gallons is, It makes it much simpler if you get a premix bottle from wal-mart.

Also do you idle any length of time before you take off?

Did you choke it the second time you went to run?

Try next time you go to pump the bulb then just choke it for 4 seconds and try to start it, if it doesn't fire choke it for 2 more seconds and try that. All engines are different some will start no problem with holding the choke 4 seconds then some take 8 you just never know.

Just out of curosity why did you choke it so much?

But i did catch over 20 crappie that day lol[/QUOTE]

Makes engine issues not so bad when you have a good day of fishing!
