first heard him at about 150-200 yards, everytime i would bleat he would grunt (first time i ever heard one grunt). so kept bleating and trying to get him to come in. but he wouldn't come in any closer. so bleated a couple of times and through in a few buck grunts and bout 5 minutes later he came into check it out. he started walking in from my right to left and stopped behind a couple of trees with only his head and neck showing looking in my direction trying to find that doe. thats all i needed, shot him in the neck and he dropped right there, never to move again. great morning, killed him at 0853 yesterday. i've seen over 20 bucks this season and this is the first shooter. whats cool is this is the first deer i've ever killed that i had on camera. he was and 8 with a little nub on the right side, weighed just guessing about 160 to 170 lbs.
