I woke that Tuesday Morning
Just another sunny day
Then the planes they slammed the towers
And took our breath away
Silent we watched them as they fell
And carried our hearts straight into Hell
But we stood strong
And carried on
Cause we're the USA

You can take our tallest buildings
And drop them into holes
You can poison our nations cities
But you can not reach our souls
Explaining it the best that I can
The misguided ways of a man
Talkin to my Kid
Bout what they did
But we're still the USA

We're the worlds greatest county
From coast to windswept coast
We value the words of freedom
We cherish them the most
Out of many we are one
We can't quit til we are done
We'll right the wrong
Till terror's gone
Cause we're the USA.....

RE: 9-11 REMBER OUR TROOPS

Absolutely right Jason, emoThumbsup There are so many privileges which we enjoy that would not be possible without the utlimate sacrifices that so many of our young folks have given. And now, with this conflict going on, we even have grandparents giving their all over there to make those things possible. If you stop and think of how it would be if you had to worry about your children and yourself being blown to bits every time you walked out the door it would be a sorry situation to live in, emoRolleyes

I don't think or would hope that any of us will forget what we saw happen on 9/11. My brother Victor just got back from Iraq yesterday. He has been over there for almost a year, he job was to watch over a prison called Camp Bucca. He told me that some of the people locked up there are some of the ones that planned or had some part in 9/11. I always pray for our troops and would ask that everyone do the same. A lot of people seem to jump on board whenever there is a crisis going on. I remember driving home that terrible day and seeing all of the flags flying and how proud I felt to be an American. We need to stand behind our service men and women. It seems that after everything gets back to normal only the true Americans still remember our troops. God bless all of the service men and women proudly serving this great country of ours.

Couldn't agree more Jason. I thought the same thing. I spent $50 on a box of "snacks" to send my boy Jace and his soldiers on 9/11. They seem to think Cheetos, Poptarts and beef jerky are as good as gold out in the desert FOB they are stationed at. I'm glad you remembered our men/women in uniform. I am thankful and appreciative of them all!!!! God Bless our soldiers!!!!!!!!!!!11

Thank you to all who have served this great country. There are many on this forum who have served and many who have family members currently serving in our great military. We should not ever forget those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and to those families who have suffered those losses. Thank you JSV for the post and poem and God Bless this country for the freedom and to those whom have served to provide us for what we have today.
