Went to Racoon today with a co-work who is selling his 20 ft Triton. All I can say is NICE!!!!! MrWiskers may be getting a new to him boat soon.
We started off half way fishing and more talking about the boat. We fished some of my favorite banks down around the pump station and caught a few short fish. Headed up river to another spot and I stuck a 3.5 lb largemouth off of a log on a pig n jig (can anybody see a pattern in what bait I use). Went across the river and caught a 2.5 lbs out of a laydown. The current was slow and the largemouth seemed to be keying to wood and were very active. AlvinC was fishing with another of our co-workers and they had 4 keeper largemouths. I ended up boating 7 bass, 4 of which were largemouths with 3 solid keepers. I did lose a 2lb or so spot and stuck another good fish that pulled off. Not a bad day for 3 hours of fishing and boat riding.
