9/28 LM

Once again Unum was kind enough to let me go fishing this morning. Once again I was by myself. Anyway, I went out of CFSP and toward the plant. I fished the 4-5 foot grass banks in the am and caught 5-6 small 12-14" LM all fish were caught on an 8" dead ringer watermelon. I threw the zoom toad a lot this morning and had 3 big hits. I waited and waited and still can not catch a fish on those things. I wonder if im burying the hook too deep to make it weedless or something? I did have one nice LM break my line right on the hookset. Other than that I went over to the cove where I saw Zunker the other day and caught 2 more little guys.

I threw a white fluke, toad, buzz bait, spook jr., 8" ringer, rattle trap. The only fish I caught were on the ringer. I never did see them really active where I was, and the weather was off and on, but at least I caught fish today!

I didnt take any pictures of the little fellers, I kept thinking I was about to catch the big one. Ha.

You keep going Drew, you'll come up with the big fish. I'm going to have to call Provident, you and baitbucket get off of work too much. ( must be nice ) Wasn't the wind bad this morning? ( that's why it was blowing today, you were on the lake )

I am notorious for getting out there and upsetting mother nature!!???? I dont get it. Its like she knows im in my little tracker and cant fish in windy conditions. Batibuckets started refusing to go with me because of it. Pretty bad when you'd rather sit in your cube than get blown all over the water. By the time I gave in it was white capping in the middle.

Didn't you mean to say that you must bury the hook sooo deep that you make it fishless!?!?!

There was no fish activity in my cube today. I did land one jalapeno cheeseburger around lunch time. Probably weighed half pound. I was really regretting not going this morning until it rained on me all the way to work and it appears to be raining Forrest Gump sideways out my window right now.

Raining hippos and elephants downtown at the moment. Another band coming in behind these that should be here right about the time survivor is on ... and my satellite goes out.

Hooker, just skin-hook the barb of your 5/0 and add a treble as a trailer...clip off one barb and skin-hook the other two in the Toad's legs.

Makes sense to me. Ill give it a whirl. Im skinning the one but having trouble hooking up, and I am using the toad hook that is made for it. I need to get RRigsby off G' Ville every now and again and let him school me a bit.
