Sorry so late postin but I can't get on here much anymore. Computer at home is really slow on dial up. emoEnforce Fished out of Grasshopper Wed. evening. Started off out on the main lake and didn't do anygood. Went to Sale creek and still no good. Finally got back in a small pocket and caught a few dinks and one keeper. My partner (mars295pe) handed my butt to me and caught a couple of nice keepers on a shakey head worm and then we went back out on the main body of the river. Caught a few on the channel but nothing big. All total about 10 fish and 3 or 4 keepers. I cauhgt a few on flukes and a crankbait.
Put in At Dayton Thursday with my brother and went out to the main river. The current was really pouring thru and couldn't even get a 1/2 oz. jig to stay on the rip rap. Went way up river and found that most of the grass is died out and lots of it floating in big clumps. Had to stop and clear the motor twice cause of the big clumps hanging to the foot. Around 12 the water started backing up as they was still pulling in from the bar but stopped pulling the Chic so hard. We caught 10 fish all day and only had two keepers. One on a fluke and the other on a brush hog. Had lots of fun but wish I could learn to fish these shallow lakes!
