a\c unit not cooling good

anyone know an a\c guy . I'm almost sure my air unit needs some gas it takes r22 .I can put it in but cant buy any. there is supposed to be new es-22a gas that will work and you don't have to have a license to get it not sure about that. anyone know about es-22a emoThanks
