Minner and I decided to be bold and stupid and try a freezing night trip for some Saugers below Guntersville Dam last night. We fished from about 6:00 til 10:30, and only boated two keeper saugers. We caught a variety of white, salts, and hybrids as well... with a few spots mixed in. Was still fun, although freezing, 29 degrees with a slight breeze by the end of the night. All fish came around lock walls in 15-20 ft of water with carolina rigged toughies. It was nice to get back out on the water, haven't been out much lately due to work constraints and a real tight budget.

Going to give it a shot in the day time in the next few weeks.

Brave souls I tell ya. I use to get out and fish in any conditions, but I have gotten soft over the years. I guess if someone said they were biting, I would wear the thermals and two pair of socks to go catching. Thanks for keeeping us informed.
