Well, I dont have a bass boat currently and I really wanted to pitch-in on this one. Fishinvol and his family are neighbors, so I have racked my brain trying to figure out what I could do to help. Well, here it goes...

Up for bid: A heck of a trip! The morning will start at the edge of the Cumberland Plateau in Putnam Co. I have access to a fairly good sized tract of family land that holds alot of nice birds. Upon tagging a gobbler (hopefully before lunch) we will head down the road to the famous Caney Fork where we will float the rest of the day in search of trophy brown trout, In the 14' "trout craft". FYI- this is not a corn and salmon eggs trip, I use large swim/ jerkbaits with 7' spinning rods, and target 18+" browns. I will be willing to schedule this trip on any weekend that is convenient for the winner durring open turkey season, other than the weekends of March 31 and April 21. And the amount of time spent on either the river or on the ridge is completely up to whoever wins the bid. Also: The land we are hunting is fairly "ridgy" so its a good idea to be in some decent physical shape.

Included: This will be a day trip, and transportation to and from( Chatt.) will be provided. I will also be willing to provide a lunch and drinks. While floating the river, I would be happy to provide rods, tackle, etc...neccessary to tango with the big browns and rainbows durring the fishing portion of the trip. I will also have a digital camera to capture any moments worth saving. Winner of this trip must provide all the neccessary licenses!

I cant guarantee a kill on the turkeys, but can guarantee an opportunity. I will however guarantee trout! And there is a real opportunity to bring home a monster trout. I will also guarantee that this is an absolutely fun trip. I have been doing it for years and cant get enough of it!

So come on guys...open your hearts and your wallets!

100% goes to the Maddie fund of course!

I will post some pics of the browns and the birds I have harvested from there over the years, once I get home tonight.

Crap, these trips are getting better and better everyday!! I don't care for hunting, but that trout fishing sounds like a blast. You need to take me up there sometime Churly. Thanks!!

You got it! I just got the boat cleaned up yesterday. With Turkey season comming in 2 weeks I knew I would be itching to get on a big trout. Just give me a shout and we will schedule a trip. Hey you have seen my big brown on the wall, and turkey tails everywhere, so you can vouch for me!

TT, I'm with you. Just wish I could afford to bid on any of these trips. It really says a lot about the bidding from these folks and also alot about the folks that are willing to put these on. God is surely smiling on you all

I have alot of pics on a memory stick I cant locate right now. But here are just a few trout pics from last year. I'll post some pics of some boss gobblers from the farm if I can find that stick.

Heck yeah man, you've got a great trip lined up for the winner. I've never been turkey hunting or fishing for trout and have wanted to try out both...but I don't have that kind of cash right now as I have a vacation the first week of April already planned. Maybe I can win one next time cause I can see this possibly becoming a more regular thing on CFF from the responses all the auctions have had. You got a good thing going here for a great cause!emoThumbsup emoThumbsup

After seeing someone miss Jmax's auction, I'll keep the bidding open until Sunday evening, because this trip will be coming up soon. Thanks to all who have bid. I promise I'll work hard to make it worth every dollar we donate.

Do you only have one Tom on that property? Looks like I may be doing three trips before this is all over. I got two booked as of now and one more in the works. This is something I did not expect. I may just need to start guiding around here and forget about getting another real job.
