I think Mr. Haggard says it best here. All the corrupt politicians can kiss my A@&!!!So can all the people who live here illegally and mooch off the hard working american people. I dont give a crap if you are a democrat ...republican..independant it dont matter...every politician I know of has and will make promises that they can never keep. If you want something done youre on your own if you are an honest hard working American!! If you are not....MOVE!!! AT least we are still free to go catfishing when we want to...for now!

Your right Channing, but there are a lot of Democrats who are losing their idenity with the party that once supported their views (example my gpa who is a retired UAW), due to an extreme swing to the left. Which is also the case with many Republicans who left to be Independant when the party started swinging too far to the middle (neo-conservatism). I'd imagine that Merle falls in that category above.

My in-laws have voted rebublicans all their life. They are elderly now, scared about health-care and the propagnda that was spewed by the liberal media last year. BOTH voted for Obumer, and now are VERY sorry they did. They honestly feel betrayed by what has happened these past 9 months. I am sure that is how many feel...with that being said I know there are several Conservatives (myself) who were equally disapointed with Conservatives we've voted in who in the past have done everything but been conservative.

The reason I say this, is because I think it ties us back to the original intent of this post. Most politicians are crooks (both sides), and I truly believe that strict term limits would get folks into those offices who truly want to make a difference and not line their pockets.

Well Channing I have been away so I have some catching up to do. When I said that we need more folks like Merle it was in the context of the song lyrics and not his politics. Sorry Bud but we certainly do not need any more democrats. emoDoh
