a question about weiss

My 10yr.old wants to go fishing with out his sisters.LOL. I thought we could take a trip down to weiss for crappie, When is a good time? around march/april? Also where is a good place to stay the night?

Anytime between now and April would be good but this month is best if the weather is good. JR's Marina and motel is a good place to stay at midlake area. There are some other motels too as well as some cabins available. You can do a search on Lake Weiss and get the names of the others.

acv, JR's is a nice place to stay and fish. Just be careful if you go out in a boat. The fishing should be getting wound out pretty good down there now. This cold front that is coming may hinder the fishing some tho.
