? about a Lowrance 522

Fished a night tournament on the hill.Have the 522 on the front.It started reading depth from 8ft to 48ft then back and forth.Could that just be the transducer or do you guys think its the unit?

Is it hooked up to a transducer that is built in to your TM? If so could be the transducer. If you have a lowrance at the dash try hooking it up there to see if it does any better. My 522 runs through a built in transducer on my rig and it does that occassionally...

The transducer is a bolt on.I have a hds 7 at the dash and the plugs are different.

The plugs should be the same for the 522 and the hd7. I would try and switch units and rule out xducer. I had same problem and it turned out to be the the xducer.
