I don't think it is
Nothing is as bad as the area from Harrison Bay to the nuclear plant

Once you get up to about hwy 60 it gets much better

Unless it's a Saturday..........

If you go WAY up... like above mud creek it slacks off a little.... At least up there you can hide from the traffic in some of the sloughs...

I fished around Hiwassee Island yesterday and I've never seen that many fishing boats in that area on a Sunday. In the not so distant past I remember that you could get some relief from pressure once above HWY 60. Not so much now. A lot of pleasure boats too.

I'm getting old, I remember when you could fish from Soddy to Sale creek and you were lucky if you saw one boat emoUSA I was raised on Soddy creek and had it all to myself except for 1 or 2 other fisherman

sunday was worse than normal because of the big bass splash out of dayton, shouldnt be that bad going forward

Yea, I am from Hixson and that was where Dad took me from day 1 in the spring & summer. Once the water came up to summer pool, we would put in near Soddy Creek entrance and fish between there and HWY 60 bridge almost exclusively all spring/summer long until the water was dropped back to winter pool. Then we would hit Nickajack lake in the fall and winter.

Yep, I had heard something about that. They were lined up on the TN river side of the island.

There is more than I care to deal with up around Dayton on Saturday and Sundays anymore.. I went Sunday evening thinking it may be slacked off and fished around Hiwassee Island / hwy 60 and it was pretty bad.

The Chick doesn't get much down time anymore. Weekend, weekdays, day or night. the quietest you'll see it is from about midnight until 6am. That's when I've been going, but on the weekend theirs still more boats out than you would imagine at that time.

Crazy thing is, all the big cabin cruisers and run about a used to disappear after dark and it was calm and quiet. Not anymore they're still going at it after midnight and you have to deal with waves and boats well into the night. Those big waves are hard to see in the dark!!!
